We issued a press release today about statements Maine DECD Commissioner, John Richardson, made about the State of Maine working with non-profit organizations to help small businesses get linked to government websites to boost their online marketing campaigns.
We would love for you to view the video and give us your thoughts.
I think he has made some landmark statements that no other government official in the country has made ever before.

Thanks for sharing the video, you folks are onto something here. There is definitely a way to position Maine-made products as part of the tourism experience. http://www.visitmaine.com is very activity and travel-focused and doesn’t really bring in the local products made here. There is a tremendous potential for the DECD, http://mainefurniture.com and other associations to join together to get more exposure, particualarly online. Sharing grass-roots videos (such as this one is one way). Sharing content across the different sites is helpful, not just to attract newer audiences, but search engines like to see it as well.
